Astralis Bench HooXi and jabbi Following LAN Victory
Written with artificial intelligence.
Astralis has benched Rasmus 'HooXi' Nielsen and Jakob 'jabbi' Nygaard just days after winning their first LAN title since 2019. While the roster change is confirmed, potential new signings remain unverified.
Roster Changes at Astralis
In a surprising move, Astralis has announced that Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard have been benched effective immediately. This decision comes shortly after the team clinched its first LAN trophy since December 2019 at the Stake Ranked Episode 4 in Barcelona, where HooXi played a key role in leading the squad to victory.
Potential New Additions
While the benching has been confirmed, the future roster of Astralis is still uncertain. Reports suggest that former Team Liquid captain Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Ukrainian rifler Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov could be potential signings. However, neither move has been officially confirmed. According to Sport.ua, both players' contracts are nearing completion, which may facilitate their transition to Astralis.
Current Active Roster
As it stands, the active lineup for Astralis includes Love "phzy" Smidebrant, Victor "Staehr" Staehr, and Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas, with Filip "NEO" Kubski serving as the coach. Notably, Staehr is the only Danish player among the three active members. The team is preparing for their next event, Stake Pulse Beat III, which is set to start on October 12, 2026.
Future Outlook
The benching of HooXi and jabbi follows recent trends in the CS2 in-game-leader market, with established leaders frequently moving teams. As Astralis looks to refine its roster, fans will be watching closely to see how these changes affect their performance in upcoming competitions.
