Tournament Context
Currently, three teams are embroiled in a single round robin format, each sporting an 0-2 record and vying for the sole ticket to the fourth round. The best-performing team will secure their place in the tournament while the others will be eliminated. The stakes were high for both FlyQuest and GAM Esports as they faced off, needing to improve their win differentials to have any hope of survival in this mini-championship.
Game Highlights
In the first match, GAM Esports opted for a quick initiation draft featuring Akali and Pantheon alongside Kiaya's Rumble. FlyQuest responded with a teamfight-focused composition including K'Sante, Wukong, and Orianna. After an early First Blood from GAM, FlyQuest quickly regained control, leveraging a perfectly timed Cyclone and Shockwave combination to decimate four GAM members. With a gold lead exceeding 12,000 and a Baron Nashor secured, FlyQuest demolished GAM's base within just 22 minutes.
The second game saw FlyQuest surprise with a Cho'Gath jungle and Kled, complemented by Quad's Twisted Fate and the lethal Kalista-Renata duo. GAM attempted to counter with Olaf and Qiyana but struggled against FlyQuest's mid-jungle synergy. Gryffinn's flawless performance, with 9 kills and no deaths, helped FlyQuest secure all four dragons and another Baron Nashor, ultimately sealing the match in 26 minutes.
