NRG Parts Ways with World Champion Rocket League Roster
Written with artificial intelligence.
NRG has officially announced the departure of its entire 2025 world champion roster, including players Daniel, BeastMode, and Atomic, as well as coach Satthew. This marks a significant shift for a team that has been a dominant force in North American Rocket League over the past three years.
Major Changes for NRG in Rocket League
NRG has confirmed the exit of its entire roster that captured the 2025 Rocket League championship, comprising Daniel, BeastMode, Atomic, and coach Satthew. This marks a pivotal moment for the organization, which has been a leading team in the North American Rocket League scene for the last three years.
The journey for Daniel and BeastMode began at G2 Esports, joining from Version1. Together with Atomic, they quickly made an impact, winning the second Major of the 2024 season and reaching the finals of the world championships. After transitioning to NRG in 2025, they claimed the world title by defeating Team Falcons and secured six victories in Regional Opens. However, the 2026 season ended less favorably, with their last appearance at the Worlds concluding in the top six.
As the players' departures become official, their future paths are becoming clearer. According to Sheep Esports, Daniel and Atomic are expected to join Shopify Rebellion, reuniting with Firstkiller, while Satthew is likely to lead this new project, keeping part of the championship-winning group together for the 2027 season. BeastMode is anticipated to join Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, teaming up with Tawk and Chronic, marking a significant change as it will be his first season without Daniel since April 2023, potentially placing them as rivals on the RLCS circuit.
Despite these departures, NRG is not stepping away from Rocket League. The organization has been invited as one of the twenty founding teams of the RLCS Club Championship 2027 and is already working on a new roster around 2Piece, Wahvey, and frosty, with the French player adam_baguette set to take on the coaching role. These discussions are advanced but still await official confirmation.
