KRÜ Blaze Claims VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2026 Title in São Paulo

KRÜ Blaze's Journey to Victory

Visa KRÜ Blaze captured the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2026 title on November 1 by defeating French team Gentle Mates GC 3-2 in a thrilling grand final at the Riot Games Arena in São Paulo. This victory marks the first global title for the Argentine team, which demonstrated resilience after starting in the lower bracket of the tournament.

The grand final showcased two teams on different paths: Gentle Mates GC entered the match undefeated, while KRÜ Blaze had to fight through elimination matches after previously defeating Brazilian teams Team Liquid Visa and MIBR GC. Notably, Brazilian players Antonia “antg” Garcia and Kauan “none” Ferreira were part of the championship-winning roster.

Highlights of the Final

Amaro “tok1o” Miranda stood out in the decisive match, earning the MVP award with an impressive total of 84 eliminations. The final was a best-of-five series, with KRÜ Blaze overcoming the odds to secure the championship, despite the absence of local Brazilian teams in the final match-up.

Team Liquid Visa, the defending champions, finished fourth, while MIBR GC took fifth place, marking their lowest finishes in the history of the Game Changers Championship according to Riot Games. These eliminations were pivotal for KRÜ Blaze’s title run.

Future of Game Changers

Looking ahead, Riot Games has announced that the 2027 Game Changers Championship will be integrated into the VALORANT Champions event, set to take place in Austin, Texas. This change aims to enhance visibility for the Game Changers initiative, which promotes competitive opportunities for women and marginalized genders in esports. With their victory in São Paulo, KRÜ Blaze concludes the 2026 season as champions, while the competition prepares for an exciting new chapter in 2027.
